Archival Bootcamp 2024

An invitation to explore new approaches to archives,
memory and writing, in a caring and community-learning environment, in nature.

Our Experience 2024

In 2024, we welcome 26 artists from all over the world: Colombia, Spain, Argentina, China, Poland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States, Greece, Italy and Macedonia.

Through artistic, affective methodologies and collective dynamics, each participant worked on their material, rehearsing new archival and writing practices. A temporary community to read, enrich themselves and experience different ways of doing with others, taking the risk of the unknown.

The camp was an opportunity to encourage myself to create and learn collectively, in contact with nature. I left with new ideas and a network of artists who also work with archives.

Pepa Sticotti (AR)

The experience was an incredible opportunity to reconnect with nature, myself, and other talented creatives. It offered me valuable insights and inspiration for future projects. The content was thoughtfully structured, and the group sessions were particularly enriching, fostering meaningful exchanges and collaborations, making the overall experience not only memorable but also profoundly impactful.

Masia La Toba

The residency takes place in the old La Toba mill, which was in operation until the late 1960s, in Castellón, Valencian Community, Spain. Rafa, the owner, cooks vegetarian meals for us every day using high quality ingredients.

Located between mountains, surrounded by nature, wild animals and birds, the place offers an experience of disconection and sensitive openness to nature, processes and new experiences.
